Highlights from the Woodsshire HOA 2025 Annual Meeting:

• Date & Location: Held March 31, 2025, at Irving Rec Center with 30 neighbors in attendance.

• Board Update: Goal to update outdated by-laws and prepare for the neighborhood’s 100th anniversary.

• Treasurer Report: Tree damage and rising insurance costs led to budget overages; neighbors thanked for donations to the park/tree fund.

• Park Committee Efforts:

  • Focus on sustainable, budget-conscious maintenance.

  • Recent and upcoming work in beds 6, 10, 11, and 12.

  • Need for volunteers and help with storm cleanup.

• Community Reminders:

  • Avoid fireworks and climbing trees in the park.

  • Don’t dump personal yard waste in the park.

• Dues Increase Discussion: Explained due to inflation and aging infrastructure; generally supported.

• Board Changes: Seth Vredenburg joined as new at-large board member; others remain unchanged.

• Neighborhood Concerns: Parking issues at W. Pershing, 17th & High, and roundabouts discussed.

• Upcoming Events:

  • April 12: Easter Egg Hunt (10:00am)

  • April 26: Spring Clean Up

  • May 3: Neighborhood Garage Sale

  • July 3: Community Event chaired by Courtney Hillebrecht
